6/1/04:   Soybeans VC.  BLB=1/40plants.  Heavy velvetleaf, lambsquarter and waterhemp in old feed lot area.

6/8/04:  Soybeans V1. Old pasture is weedy --Lambsquarter, Velvetleaf, and Buffaloburr. Leaf feeding from BLB = 1-2%

6/12/04.  Soybeans V3.  No insects reported.  Heavy weed pressure around grove and old pasture.

6/21/04.  Soybeans V4.  No insects reported.  Heavy weed pressure around grove and old pasture.

6/28/04.  Soybeans V5.  Weeds dying.  No insects reported.

7/9/04.  Soybeans R1.  No insects reported.

7/12/04.  Soybeans R1.  BLB=0.1  Bean leaf beetle just starting in field.

7/23/04.  BLB = 0.7/sweep.  The 1st generation BLB have emerged but are under economic threshold.  Aphids still have not been found.

7/28/04.  Soybeans R3.  BLB =.7/sweep.  Aphids=.02/plant.  BLB peaked and aphids are increasing. No 2nd generation BLB treatment required.

8/6/04.  Sobyeans R4.  BLB=.8/sweep.  .8 aphids/plant.  BLB will not be treated in this field.  Aphid numbers are about 1/plant.

8/11/04.  Soybeans R4.  BLB=.2/sweep.  7.6 Soybean aphids per plant.

8/18/04.  Soybeans R5.  BLB=.5/sweep.  20.9 soybean aphids per plant.  1st generation BLB numbers are starting to drop.   No soft bodied 2nd generation BLB seen yet.  Aphid numbers are increasing slowly.

8/26/04.  Soybeans R .BLB=.25/sweep.  105 soybean aphids per plant.  Aphids still increasing.
