acres of drown-out spots near river. Grass &
broadleaves 1-2" size - moderate pressure.
6/10/04: Soybeans V3. No insects reported.
2% adjusted on hail damage. Beans have recovered
well from hail. Weed pressures approaching first
Round-up treatment window.
6/21/04. Soybeans V5. No insects reported.
Beans look good. 6.1" rain since last scouting.
Low areas next to river flooded again. Weeds getting
6-10" size. Roundup application is a priority
when conditions allow.
6/25/04. Soybeans V6. Some Bacterial Blight
showing up. 0.2" rain since last scouting.
Round-up scheduled for next week. No insects reported.
7/3/04. Soybeans R1. 1" rain since
last scouting. No insects reported.

colopsis beetle feeding - low pressure.

No rain since last scouting. Beans look healthy.
8/1/04. Soybeans R4. BLB=20 per 20 sweeps.
Soybean aphids = 1/plant. 1.0" rain since
last scouting. Some plants along the border have
aphids, but none within the rest of the field.
8/8/04 Soybeans R4. BLB=7 per 20 sweeps.
Soybean aphids = 13/plant. No rain since last
scouting. Bean Leaf Beetle did not reach threshold.
aphids have increased, but are only found on 30% of
plants.
8/13/04. Soybeans R5. No BLB. 36 Soybean
Aphids/plant. No rain since last scouting.
Aphids have slowly increased population under very cool
conditions this week. I'm finding them on about
50% of the plants.
8/22/04. Soybeans R6. Soybean aphids =68.
1.0" rain since last scouting. Warmer temps
have helped crop progress.
8/28/04. Soybeans R6. Soybean aphids = 150/plant.
0.4" rain since last scouting. Crop looks
