6/2/04:  Soybeans VC.  Field looks good except for some crop acres that may not survive from excessive rain.  No insects detected.  No grass or broadleaf weeds at this time.

6/10/04:  Soybeans V2.  Beans look good.  Some leaf feeding, probably bean leaf beetle but could not find any.  Anticipating more beetle pressure from the next generation.  Field wet.  Weeds not a problem at this time.

6/15/04:  Soybeans V2.  Beans look good.  Very little obvious leaf feeding.  No insects found.  Some weeds growing with the beans.  Should be sprayed soon.

6/30/04.  Soybeans V5.  No insects found.  Starting to flower.  Some blight in the lower leaves.  Beans look very good with the exception of water stressed area.  Limited iron chlorosis not getting any worse.  Weed control very good.  Broadleaves and grass dying.

7/30/04.  Soybeans R3.  No insects found.  Weed control looks good.  With some heat in August the soybean yield should be excellent.

8/5/04.  Soybeans R3.  Several grasshoppers causing some leaf feeding on end rows.  An occasional bean leaf beetle but not enough to count.  Weed control good.  Beans look to have a good yield potential.

8/11/04.  Soybeans R4.  Cannot find any soybean aphids or bean leaf beetles.  Some grasshoppers.  Beans looking good.

8/19/04.  Soybeans R5.  Found 1-2 soybean aphids on some plants but not every one.
