Who is monitoring water quality?

The Iowa Soybean Association is working with several local partners to monitor water quality in four high priority watersheds in Iowa:

• The Boone River watershed,
• Pike Run Creek (the Cedar River in eastern Iowa),
• South Fork (of the Iowa River in north-central Iowa), and
• West Buttrick Creek (of the Raccoon River in west-central Iowa; monitoring funded by ACWA
and conducted in cooperation with Des Moines Water Works)
Raccoon River

Many partners provide time, expertise, and funding to this effort, including:

• Agriculture’s Clean Water Alliance
• The Nature Conservancy
• Des Moines Water Works
• National Soil Tilth Laboratory
