Starts with Me"
Many pieces are in motion
for farmers and agriculture right now. There is tremendous growth
in the biofuels industry, alongside a strong livestock sector.
Both are exerting market pressure on farmers to pursue higher
production. But that’s led
to continued concern about the impact of agricultural production
on water quality.
The farming members and Directors of the Iowa Soybean
Association insist that agricultural and livestock
practices keep our land, air, and water healthy and
productive. In fact, protecting the environment is
one of the Iowa Soybean Association's three top stated
policy priorities for 2007. |

starts with each farmer, in each field, to respect our natural
resources and protect them for future generations. That ’s
why Iowa Soybean Association members and partners are saying, “e
starts with me.” It’s
a pledge of continued
support for our environment. |
